5.15.10 The DATE is set - Come support the Missouri River Ward Youth!
This year we will be having a Quince de Mayo Party instead of a Cinco de Mayo Party. Our Spanish skills are increasing each year!
Hope you can join us. The festivities begin with a Mexican Dinner and Silent Auction at 5pm, and a live auction will start at 5:30pm. Be sure to also come prepared for a family portrait with all donations going to help the youth camps.
In the coming weeks the auction items and services will be listed along the side panel. Until then, be sure to check out what was offered last year for ideas. We also strongly encourage you to sign up with a youth partner for your service.

Sunday again... Just a few days now until auction night & the "Cinco de Mayo" festivities. We were pleasantly surprised today because as we sent around the list for people to check/revise their service auction items, an additional 5-10 items appeared on the auction list. Yea! We won't add them to the blog, but trust us -- there are some pretty exciting add-ons (you'll have to come Saturday to find out!)
On a related note, anybody who'd like to contribute to the part-ay by providing some delish Mexican fare is welcomed to do so... Just contact Jena at jenarabatin@hotmail.com to tell her you're willing to help out.
One last reminder to the Young Men and Women: Your assistance is needed Saturday @ 2 p.m. at the church to set up and again at 6 p.m. -- 1/2 hour before the event kicks off.

We're 10 days away from the YM/YW Service Auction and Ward Cinco de Mayo party. If you have signed up for an auction item, check the bid list to make sure it's there. The MoRiver auction is less than three weeks away, and things are going pretty well. Here are just a few of the items that were added to the lineup today: 1) Resume writing/editing assistance; 2) Term paper editing/revision; 3) Homemade lasagna dinner; 4) Lawn aeration; 5) Car wash and detail; 6) Lots of lawn mowing, babysitting, and cookies! 7) A catered BBQ dinner for up to 10 people (mmmm!)
So, still thinking about what service or general auction item you'd like to offer up for May 9th? The orange list above may trigger some ideas. Click on it to see it full-size...

More than 14 new items have hit the bid list for our May 9 service auction, with the majority of the new additions coming from our Young Women. Some new items include home window washing, babysitting, handmade jewelry, baked goods, and homemade greeting cards. Things are definitely coming together! Want to add to the list? All right! The Missouri River Service Auction is coming together, thanks to several more people adding to our bid list on the right. Don't forget about us: keep checking back to watch the list grow. Better yet, keep checking back to watch the list grow, block out the 9th of May on your calendar of must-do's, invite a friend or three to come to the service auction, and keep thinking of things YOU can contribute to support our youth and their worthy efforts!
